Understanding your options

What is an adult residential care home?

An adult residential care home is a place where a resident lives and receives help with daily activities in a home setting. Our homes serve families looking for residential care in Hilo, Hawaiʻi.

We can talk through your loved one’s needs, the support offered at each home, and whether a visit would help you decide.

Our licenses

What does Expanded ARCH mean?

Both Nishioka homes are licensed Adult Residential Care Homes (ARCHs) with Expanded ARCH licenses. According to the Hawaiʻi Department of Health, an Expanded ARCH is licensed to admit people who require a nursing home level of care. Whether a home is suitable depends on the individual’s needs, so please call to discuss your loved one’s care.
